My mac os x review.

Hello and welcome to snorp's tech! Today I'm going to review apple's os x.

     The Goods:

To start out my review I will list all the good things about mac os x!
Mac os x has a very nice interface that I find is very nice for people who don't want to spend a lot of time looking for. The dock is a nice because of the fact that all the applications you need most of the time are already pinned to and you can add more applications if need.

Os x also has a very nice disk partitioning tool. This I can't write too much about due to the fact they have changed it on os x el capitan.

Os x come built-in with safari apple's web browser, I don't use this browser a lot but from what  I have used of it I can that that it has a sleek interface and is very fast.

Os x also has a very easy to use and understand way of installing applications. The first way is to install app's from apple's app store. The app store has lots of app but maybe not what you want the the second way is to drag the .app to your applications folder.

The negative:

Get ready for this...

Os x interface is great but big time limits you. If your using windows you can go to the C: drive and go into a folder. On os x you have to click on desktop if you have a app open, then go up the bar at the time and click the GO button and select Computer. Not that this will do you much due to how much os x is confined to what apple wants. If want to mod minecraft you have to enable hidden folders go to your library folder and click .minecraft. Now I know you have to do this one windows but if your on windows just right click the top of the window his properties and select show hidden folders. But on mac os x you have you go to applications then click go to utility then open terminal, and enter this command: "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES" without the quotes. Making window's interface easy in the area.

The price: Well all the new os x are free but to use os x you have to buy a $1000 mac. For this price you could buy a really good gaming desktop pc. Or a medium gaming laptop.

This is a fact of LIFE: Os x is not good for gaming. Os x really lacks in games. I find myself want to play so many games when I'm stuck with my mac. Sure most of the good games are there: Minecraft, terraria, and the sims all work but I want to play spore and sonic generations. These really good game's are not for mac. In fact in my steam library I have 59 games. But only 23 of those are for mac.

If your think "Oh well I'm sure changing the looks of os x is easy" NOPE! Well kinda... You see it's pretty easy to change the looks of os x but you can't save them. If you want to change it up and try a new look out, your old look is gone. So be sure to write down you old setting in case you want to change back.

The verdict:

I know I've been hard os x but its really not that bad of a os. I'm a really get your hands dirty in computers kinda guy so I have a lot of problems with it but if your someone who just wants a computer to do work on its not that bad, You have all you need you have writing tools and graphing tools. You can listen you music on and you can read on it to. But its not worth the price. You have to pay $1000 for the computer it runs on. And you can't install on your every day pc.

My rating is 5 out of 10

I would love to give mac os x a 8 out of ten but I really can't justify that $1000 price tag. Os x has lots of great stuff on it. I really wanted garageband  personally. But when I got my new mac, I just thought I had wasted $1000 because when you buy a mac your really buying it for os x, not for the look of the computer but for the operating system. Os x is great in fact if you find a mac for 300-500 dollars I would recommend picking it up but don't buy it new go and spend your money on something like a gaming pc not a simple computer.

Thanks for reading my review! If you agree or disagree with my rating feel free to comment!
